MPI has converted over 15,000 pages to FrameMaker. MPI applies methods suitable to each document to ensure faithful retention of original content. MPI employs a system of inbox, in-process, and outbox directories to manage the digital version of each conversion project. Files are regularly backed up. Finished pages are carefully proofed according to project guidelines. Some projects, for example, require that the original content be faithfully retained, including typos, misspellings, and other irregular items found in originals. Others require that the placement of converted material appear on the same page or even in the same part of a page as in the original. |
